Video Art pavillion for The Wrong Biennale nº6

About

The Temporal Dimension is a video art pavilion for The Wrong Biennale nº6 curated by Collagism.

The Temporal Dimension or the 4th dimension delves into the enigmatic realm of time, an ever-flowing force that both propels us forward and remains an inescapable constant. Time, a profound mystery in its own right, becomes intricately intertwined with the complexities of mind, body, and consciousness. It presents itself as an infinite expanse during our youth, only to accelerate relentlessly as we age, paradoxically both boundless and bounded. Once it slips away, it eludes our grasp, leaving us pondering the possibility of eternal existence and the consequences it may entail.

Drawing inspiration from Geoffrey Hinton, the visionary figure often hailed as the 'Godfather of AI,' who posits the notion of intelligence outliving humanity by bestowing upon us the gift of immortality through encyclopedic knowledge of all that has ever existed, we contemplate our existence as digital imprints in the sands of time.

The Temporal Dimension curates a captivating selection of video works by acclaimed artists from across the globe. These compelling pieces traverse the realms of performance art, immersing viewers in the digital landscapes of Animated AI, 3D, documentary film, and intimate diaristic video. As we journey through these evocative creations, we invite you to explore the ever-shifting tapestry of time and the profound questions it raises about our existence within its inexorable flow.
