When my partner and I were starting to consider creating a family, I was rather afraid of the idea, even though the wish and desire was clearly there. 

I wrote this song as a day-dream and to get used to the concept of pregnancy, as well as simply admitting to myself that this was indeed what I wanted. 

As a love song to my partner, to his masculinity, which allowed our wish to be manifested, I wanted to acknowledge and appreciate his role as a carer, as a planter of seed, as a supporter. To give thanks to his part, lifting me up and acting as my solid ground on which I can grow. My femininity, which allows a baby to develop inside me, is his counterpart, and in the video which I shot much later, while being 9 months pregnant, is the star of the show. 

Hadas Hinkis is an artist, film director and musician from Tel Aviv and based in Berlin. She is also a professional dominatrix and public speaker. Her work  conveys a message of transformation and offers artful body representations often through sculptural artworks.
